What really pains anyone who hears her story is how her three sons have ditched her. She spent the whole of her lifetime to bring them up by her hard work. Now those three do not care even a bit about her. She is survived by a small kid. She comes everyday at around 9.30 near the Akruti building and picks up rags till 1.00 P.M. She leaves for her lunch, comesback again by 2.30 and hoists her bag on her head and moves on. At team India 2020, as she falls in the category of someone who can’t be taught to catch fish, we give her fish. For the past four months we have been giving her 10Kg of Rice and 10Kg of wheat and Rs.50 every month. The heartening development about this is when our colleagues at office (Srikanth and Rajeswari) got to know about this they came up and it is them who have taken the responsibility to do this from now on.

     It is sad that many of the people who visit the shop opposite Akruti fail to see the old lady very near it sweating in the hot sun. For them, she does not exist. We only see things which we want to see. This is a classic example. If only, as we keep reiterating, we really WANT to open our eyes to the strife around us, we will realize that the world is not such a good place for a lot of people.

     Last but not the least we would like to thank Susarapu Srikanth for his excellent support. This man has spoke about this to his brother and now he is also ready to take part in it. It is this sort of support which we get from people around us which makes us believe that Dream India 2020 will become a reality. For all those who are skeptical or who doubt whether this (getting 10kgs of rice and wheat) is all what India 2020 is all about……….if you can’t make sure that the one who lives near by you can eat at least once in a day……when we have great lunch at Tunga International once every month, then we are afraid that all of us nothing but inane fools who refuse, stubbornly refuse, to see reality as is and are comfortable with this world as long as WE are comfortable in this world!
